£19.50 per hour, 12 hour shifts, full time – Days only

Competence, Choice and Compassion –these are more than just words to us – are they to you?

We have an opportunity for a Nurse who really cares and can demonstrate real empathy and compassion. As a nurse at Oakham Grange your values, behaviours and attitudes will match our own and you will have a passion for ensuring that our residents are at the centre of everything we do.

Our nurses are essential for creating a strong foundation for us to develop a professional, safe and comfortable home, delivering the highest quality person centred support and care.

Working as a clinical practitioner within the home you will be looking after those residents who require nursing care. You will be expected to have clinical skills whether that be venepuncture, wound care, assessing residents with high waterlow scores and re-catheterisation.  You will have the opportunity to provide excellent end of life care, you must excel in communication skills and will be expected to assess your residents changing needs daily, updating care plans as required.

You will be expected to make sound clinical judgements whilst role modelling best practise and inspiring and mentoring junior staff to achieve their potential.

You will work over 7 days a week made up of 12 hour shifts, and no night shifts will be required. You will be supernumerary to the shift numbers but will help out delivering hands on care and administering medication when necessary.

Please note it is a mandatory requirement that you can demonstrate that you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19, unless you have medical exemption in line with government guidance.

The post is equal to a band 6/7 NHS pay scale with a competitive benefits to match.

Successful applicants will be subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check for regulated activity

We don’t just accept difference, we welcome it. No matter what your sexual orientation, ethnicity, disability, gender identity, religion or any other characteristic, we welcome your application. As a team we actively celebrate, support and thrive on diversity for the benefit of our residents and staff, and we believe this creates an environment of empowerment and mutual respect and therefore excellence in care.’
