We have an exciting, brand new opportunity for a Senior IT Support Engineer that will require you to build on your experience whilst also contributing your own knowledge and skills to help push our company forward.

Marbrook/Ardale is a growing, luxury healthcare organisation with 3 sites (due to open another 3 sites over the next few years). We pride ourselves on our state of the art equipment and IT set up which includes: a full suite of VMware products (VSphere), HP/Dell physical Server hosts, Windows Servers 2012r2 and 2019 Virtual Machines, Enterprise level Aruba Wi-Fi solution, with Veeam Monitoring software supporting the infrastructure, VOIP Telephone system with VOWIFI handsets and several other cloud based business systems and equipment onsite.

This is more than a typical IT support role and will require in depth knowledge of hardware/software. The successful candidate will lead and take ownership of all IT support and will work autonomously to enable and support the department manager to improve and develop the overall IT service provision. As our business grows, the role has great potential for future career development, and you will have a real chance to influence and collaborate with all departments and our friendly, supportive management team.

We are looking for someone with solid 1st and 2nd line technical support experience, and the confidence and ability to deliver effective, fun and engaging IT related training to all staff and residents. You will also support the IT and Communications Manager and contribute to sourcing, installing, maintaining and supporting new solutions across all sites.  The successful candidate will show a trustworthy ‘can do’ attitude to the varied aspects of IT involved, and your work will directly enable our staff to deliver excellent care to make a difference to real people’s lives.

With a friendly, patient and approachable manner you will have excellent communication skills both verbally and written. You will have a minimum of 3 years IT experience within a similar role, and we are also looking for knowledge/experience of:

  • Desktop Troubleshooting techniques, Microsoft Office Suite, Vlan Networking, Printing and TCP/IP (routers, switches, firewalls, VLANs, VPNs), web-based systems.
  • Understanding and Experience with VOIP telephone systems, SIP trunks, Leased Lines.
  • managing multiple wireless networks.
  • Windows 7/10 operating systems, Server Support, Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy and PC hardware.
  • Security principles and Anti-Virus Management
  • Designing and delivering training

Regular travel between all sites is required (mileage will be reimbursed), therefore your own means of transport will be required.
