Our mission is to provide exceptional residential, nursing, dementia, respite and specialist care within a home that feels warm, personal and reassuring.
We aim to support every resident to live with dignity, comfort and independence, while providing the right level of care for their individual needs. Whether someone is moving into care for the first time, staying with us for a short break or requiring more complex nursing support, our focus is always on the person behind the care plan.

Oakham Grange was created by the family behind Ardale to be the kind of home they would want for their own family members.
That personal standard shapes everything we do, from the design of the building to the way care is delivered each day. Our experienced leadership team supports a small number of bespoke homes, allowing each one to receive careful attention, active involvement and a continued focus on quality.
We are proud that every Ardale home has its own character, shaped by its residents, staff and local community. Oakham Grange has been created to be the care home of choice for families across Oakham, Rutland and the surrounding areas.
Personalised care for individual lives
Every resident arrives at Oakham Grange with their own story. Their own routines, preferences, interests, relationships and wishes. Our role is to support each person as an individual, not simply respond to a set of care needs.
Care plans are created around each resident and reviewed regularly as needs change. Our team works closely with residents, families, GPs and healthcare professionals to ensure care remains personal, responsive and well coordinated.

Purpose-built for comfort, safety and wellbeing
Oakham Grange has been designed to feel like a home, not a hotel or institution. It is bright, airy and uplifting, with large windows, natural light, landscaped gardens and carefully planned spaces that support both independence and reassurance.
The home is arranged into three welcoming households: Sandpiper, Osprey and Avocet. This smaller household approach helps residents feel settled, familiar and connected, while making it easier to build close relationships with staff and fellow residents.
Each household has its own dining area, kitchen, comfortable lounge and quiet lounge, giving residents choice throughout the day. Outdoor spaces, terraces and garden views help create a calm and relaxing environment, while specialist design features support safety, accessibility and wellbeing.
Living life your way
Moving into care should not mean giving up the things that make life meaningful. At Oakham Grange, residents are encouraged to continue enjoying routines, hobbies, friendships, family time and personal choices wherever possible.
Daily life might include taking part in activities, relaxing in the garden, enjoying freshly prepared meals, visiting the salon, watching a film in the cinema room, spending time with family or simply having a quiet cup of tea in a favourite chair.
Residents can do as much or as little as they wish. What matters is that they have choice, comfort and the right support around them.
